Contractors, manufacturers, multifamily property owners, developers, government agencies, stakeholders, and decision-makers from every role within the industry are invited to attend.
The power shift: electrifying a clean Long Island.
As the world continues to focus on sustainable clean energy solutions, electrification is emerging as a powerful decarbonization strategy. Its value is clear: by converting fossil-fuel burning systems that use natural gas, oil, propane, or gasoline to electric power, it reduces carbon emissions, saves consumers and businesses money, and ensures tomorrow’s renewable energy. Our conference is built around four major drivers of this electrification transition: heat pumps, electric vehicles, battery storage and solar. Join us for a day of hands-on workshops and proven sales techniques, as we explore how these sustainable energy ‘enablers’ are transforming the way we live, work, and travel.
Driving sustainability on Long Island.
Long Islanders are leading the charge in the fight to reduce greenhouse gas emissions as electric vehicle (EV) technologies take center stage in the transition to a carbon-free future. Long Island leads New York State in EV adoption, with more than 80,000 EVs currently on the road – and that number is expected to continue to grow. PSEG Long Island is powering this momentum by offering incentives to expand infrastructure for EV charging stations, training programs and special commercial EV rates, while supporting commercial customers, contractors and fleet owners.
This is your opportunity to learn about the latest advancements and explore the growing potential of clean transportation as Long Island drives toward an electric future.
Innovations in heat pumps and beyond.
As an all-season, energy-efficient, heating and cooling system, heat pumps extract heat energy from molecules in the air and transfers it in and out of a home or business, depending on the season. Using advanced inverter technology and refrigerants, heat pumps can extract heat energy even from below freezing temperatures outdoors, and then pump that heat indoors in the winter. In the summer, that same system moves heat energy in the opposite direction, pumping it out of indoor spaces to cool them down. So, it’s a heating system and an air conditioner, all in one. Conference presenters will demonstrate how heat pumps can become a major part of your business strategy.
Take control of your energy consumption.
Long Islanders have installed more solar than anywhere else in the state. Over the last two decades, 100,000 homeowners have switched to solar and save on their energy costs. Now, with more dynamic programs, customers can unlock additional savings and rewards by adding storage, participating in demand reduction programs and utilizing time-of-day rates. With these programs underway, solar and Storage is having its moment and is providing a measurable demand reduction impact at the times the grid needs it the most. Even the hottest days with the grid reaching peak demand, behind the meter solar and storage has the ability to reduce the peak by 5% or more. We invite you to join us to learn how PSEG Long Island customers can combine NYS incentives, utility rewards, and time-of-day rates to get the most out of solar and storage.
